Ballet is the foundation of all dance movement and is emphasized in all of the combination classes we offer.
BALLET: Ballet develops the coordination of mind and body. It can improve and correct poor posture and can help to strengthen a child who is physically weak. Ballet builds confidence and promotes self-decipline. It also gives children a sense of movement, rhythm and an appreciation of music. Good posture, grace, strength and agility are all derived from ballet training.
TAP: A form of dance, which greatly improves rhythm, balance and coordination. A tap dancer uses his or her feet like drums to create rhythmic patterns and timely beats.
JAZZ: In jazz class, our students expand on what they have learned in ballet and tap and perform it to today's popular music. There is an emphasis on learning how to isolate body movements as well as mastering tricks like kicks, jumps and splits. It is a good first step toward future hip hop and theatre dance instruction.
A weekly class consisting of 30 minutes of ballet and 30 minutes of tap dance. Proper technique is emphasized in a fun and energetic environment. These classes help to minimize childhood awkwardness while continuting to enhance the motor skills necessary for future dance training. - Dress Code
