REHEARSAL REQUIREMENT

  • Dancers MUST attend all scheduled Performance Team rehearsals from January 5th to February 23rd. 

  • We encourage perfect attendance, however, only 2 absences maximum will be allowed for Thursday’s Team rehearsals between January 5th to March 24th. Any more than 2 absences may exclude that dancer from participating at our scheduled competitions and no refunds will be given.

WHAT TO WEAR

FOR EVERY performer

  • stage makeup, including bright red or hot pink lipstick (depends on color of costume)

  • no jewelry, no glitter, no nail polish, and no rhinestones (unless you are told to do so for a specific costume)

  • FOR THE AWARDS CEREMONY OR ANY TIME YOU ARE NOT PREPARING TO PERFORM, Dancers must wear your sponsor shirt and Team warm-up suit.

WHAT IS DUE

The following is due no later than Thursday, December 8th:

  • If you did not compete last year, three copies of your daughter’s birth certificate. A competition will disqualify any dance group that cannot prove their dancers’ ages.

  • Entry fee (cash, check, or fundraiser). 

 

OTHER NOTES

StarQuest rules explicitly state:

  • NO refunds will be made for entries.

  • No video recording is allowed. No photography is allowed when a specifically licensed photographer is present at the event, except at award ceremonies. Flash photography is never allowed. The use of video recording or unauthorized photography may lead to an entry’s disqualification.

  • Good sportsmanship is expected from all parents, contestants, and teachers. Failure to display such conduct may result in the routine being disqualified.
